THE GOOD FIGHT (2017)
6 seasons / 60 episodes
The sequel series to The Good Wife (which was originally on CBS, and can also be found on Paramount+), is a legal series starring Christine Baranski as an attorney who tries her best to reconcile her principles with her sometimes less-than-upstanding profession. It gets a little corny at times, as it tries a little too much to re-create ripped-from-the-headline issues, but Baranski makes it worthwhile, as does the rest of the stellar cast, which includes Delroy Lindo, Cush Jumbo, Rose Leslie and Gary Cole.
THE OFFER (2022)
1 season / 10 episodes
This series based on the book by producer Albert S. Ruddy, takes a look behind the scenes at the making of The Godfather, including all the rumored mob connections, casting controversies, studio demands and artistic clashes. It’s incredibly uneven, as Miles Teller is stiff and uninteresting in the role of Ruddy, but there are so many great performances that make this series worth it, especially if you have any interest at all in how movies get made, especially one of the greatest movies of all time. It’s worth it alone to see Matthew Goode play studio head Robert Evans—how he didn’t win the Emmy is beyond me.
